Obituary for Henry L. LeGars

LeGARS, HENRY L., 98, Northern Cambria, passed away
January 23, 2018, at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born April 17, 1919, in Barnesboro, the son of Daniel and Minnie (Goaziou) Legars. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Jane Nagle and Marie Estes; and brother, Albert LeGars. Survived by loving wife of 76 years, Margaret (Phillips) LeGars; sons, Henry R. LeGars, husband of Arlene (Probilsky), Northern Cambria; William D. LeGars, husband of Betsy (Solnosky), North Carolina; Barry A. LeGars, husband of Dawn (Schlereth), Hastings; daughter, Carol L. LeGars, Northern Cambria. 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Brother of Rose Swansboro, Cadiz, OH; Loretta Martoia, MI; Philomena Babiak, Northern Cambria; Caroline Turik, OH; and Richard LeGars, Indianapolis. Henry was a dedicated worker throughout his life, first at Goodyear Aircraft, then many years as a coal miner, until establishing his own business, LeGars Construction. Faithful member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Northern Cambria. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Darlene Wiewiora officiating. Committal, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
