BAKER, RAYMOND L., 88, Hastings, passed away January 23, 2018. Born June 28, 1929, in Carrolltown, the son of Roy and Regina (Weakland) Baker. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Rose (Holtz), who died in 1967; brothers, George, Blaine, Morris and Cletus Baker; and sisters, Agnes Hicks, Bernadine Stevens and Dolores Zimmerman. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Barbara (Holtz) Baker; children, James Baker, husband of Christine (Slagle) Indiana; Dennis Baker, husband of Barbara Jean (Wasilko) Northern Cambria; Glenn Baker, Washington, PA; Beverly, wife of William Knapik, Emeigh; Jeffrey Baker, husband of Patricia (McCracken), Newport News, VA; and Brian Baker, husband of Kimberly (Baker), Baltimore, MD. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Brother of Blair Baker, TN; Hazel Lutz, OH; Dolly Litzinger, Patton; Phyllis Moore, TN; and Joan Taylor, Bakerton. US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Retired coal miner from Beth Energy Mine 33 and member of UMWA. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB celebrant. Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery. Military Honors by local veterans organizations.
