Carl Joiner

Joiner, Carl, 90, Northern Cambria, went home to be with the Lord, April 1, 2017, at home in the presence of his loving family. Born February 9, 1927, in Pine Township, the son of Doyle and Jessie (Stuby) Joiner. Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Fred and William Joiner. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Bertena (Fleming) Joiner; children, Sharon, wife of Keith Rearick, Clymer; Barbara, wife of Rev. Fred Catchpole, Clymer; Sandra, wife of Walter Schroth, Indiana; Carla, wife of Rev. Robert Kester, Belmont, OH; Gary (Melissa) Joiner, Alverda; Craig Joiner, Northern Cambria; and Eric (Holli) Joiner, Northern Cambria; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lynn (Daryl) Joiner, Northern Cambria; Dorothy Meyer, North Carolina; Lucille (Ron) Kuzemchak, Indiana; Eleanor Emerick, PA; and Beatrice Wilson, OH. Carl was a life long Dairy Farmer. He was a quiet, caring, gentle man who loved children. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed by all. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Independent Country Church, formerly Mt. Union Church, Rev. Fred Catchpole and Rev. Robert Kester, sons-in-law, officiating. Interment, Church Cemetery.
