Michael Barrett

Barrett, Michael, 84, Northern Cambria, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, December 17, 2016. Born September 21, 1932 in Spangler, the son of Vincent and Matilda (Trinkley) Barrett. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sally Ann (Eagler) Barrett, who died August 23, 2004; infant son, Michael; great-grandson, Brantley Barrett; brother, James Barrett and sisters, Theresa Weakland and Catherine Schirf. Survived by children, Cathy, wife of Robert DePetro, Barbara, wife of Robert Bradford, Kenneth Michael Barrett; Susan, wife of Dale Westrick, and Sally, wife of Joseph Penksa, all of Northern Cambria; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Brother of Betty Kantz, Pittsburgh and Charles Barrett, Ohio. The children would like to thank their father's special granddaughter for the love and care she provided to their father. Michael was a member of Prince of Peace Church, Northern Cambria. Retired coal miner with 35 years of service. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.,Monday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Prince of Peace Chapel.
