KOZICKY, PAUL, 87, Ebensburg, passed away September 10, 2017, at home. Born May 25, 1930, in Colver, the son of Martin Sr. and Kathryn (Semetosky) Kozicky. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Martin Jr., Michael, Joseph, Stanley, John, Frank and Tony; and sisters, Mary Hudak-Paddock, Margaret Peck, Kathryn Smolensky and Ann Fox. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Kathleen (Lanzendorfer) Kozicky; daughters, Nancy Edmiston, Ebensburg and Nadine, wife of Jerry Callahan, Loretto; grandchildren, Joshua, husband of Nicole (List); Sarah, wife of Theresa Penatzer; Mary Edmiston and great-granddaughter, Ellie Jane. Brother of George (Barbara) Kozickie, Eva (Bill) Dubyak, Martha (Mike) Swarden, and Helen (Ronald) Lekawa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved. US Army Veteran. Retired coal miner and member of UMWA District II, former owner of the Krispy Kreme. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver where he attended daily mass. Paul made God and family his priority and lived his life in service to others. He opened his home and welcomed many who needed a place to stay. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and growing Hibiscus, going to auctions and helping his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and found his greatest joy in great-granddaughter, Ellie Jane. Friends will be received from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. A funeral mass will be celebrated for Paul and his brother-in-law, Charles Lanzendorfer, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Fr. Alfred Patterson, OSB, celebrant.
