Obituary for Antonia R. Solinski

SOLINSKI, ANTONIA R., 69 Northern Cambria. With great sadness, the family of Antonia, announce her passing on February 16, 2018, ending a four year battle with pancreatic cancer. In their sorrow, they find comfort knowing she is now at peace, home in heaven with the Lord and the family members who have gone before her. She was born August 24, 1948, in Spangler the daughter of James and Mary (Smolko) Taranto who preceded her in death along with her sister, Carisia Powers, niece, Christine Powers and brother-in-law, Brent Kuhn. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 51 years, Cary; their children, Michelle (Dave) Amigh, Ebensburg and Jim (Cheryl) Solinski, Plum; her sister, Bernadette Kuhn, FL; and her grandsons Brandon and Evan Amigh, and Colin Solinski, who were a source of great joy and much love. “Antone” had a great love of life and family. Being present at the sporting events and activities of her grandchildren was always a priority and together with Cary they spent many happy hours watching the boys through the years. She also loved to travel and explore new places but visits with her sister in Florida were always her favorite. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Antone was an active choir member. In the community she worked many years on the local election board and served as a state registrar. Formerly employed as an aide with Home Nursing Agency. Northern Cambria and a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Chapel. Fr. Donald Dusza officiating. Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery
