Obituary for Michael C. Jarvis

JARVIS, MICHAEL C., “Mick”, 71, Northern Cambria, passed away June 2, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 16, 1947, in Spangler, the son of the late Mike and Marie (Hanwell) Jarvis. Survived by loving wife of 46 years, Carol A. (Woods) Jarvis and sister, Dorothy, wife of Charles Wolf, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Formerly worked 13 years as a coal miner with Barnes & Tucker Mine 25 and was a proud member of UMWA, District 2, Local 1269. Retired Maintenance Mechanic for the City of Plantation, FL with 20 years of service. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. “Mick”, a loving and devoted husband, shared a full and active life with his wife and best friend, Carol. Together they enjoyed the love and companionship of their dogs, Ben and Jake and their cats, Missy and Peanut, who will miss him every day. Friends will be received from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Church, Northern Cambria. Fr. Donald Dusza officiating. Committal, St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery. “Mick” lived as a kind, loving and gentle man. He will be lovingly and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
