Anita M. (Ashurst) Adams

ADAMS, ANITA M., 72., passed away October 7, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born July 20, 1951, in Spangler the daughter of Vincent and Alverda (McIllwain) Ashurst.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Florent Thomas Adams whom she married September 15, 1973; son, David Adams; granddaughter, Hannah Adams; brothers, Hiram, Vincent, and Robert; and sister, Doris.  Survived by sons, Scott (Kim) Adams, Westover; Thomas Adams, Westover; and Joe Adams (Dana Pierce), LaJose; and grandchildren, Thomas Adams, Brian Adams, Becca Adams, Dillon Adams, and Kirkland Adams. Also survived by brothers, James Ashurst and Stephen Ashurst; and sisters, Donna Gaston, Nora Yasick, Joan Warner, Betty Weakland, Beverly Chordas, Debbie Palmes, and Connie Ashurst.  Anita was happiest spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a service will be held at 8:00 p.m.  Committal, East Ridge Cemetery.
