Anna E. (McGlynn) Freidhof

FREIDHOF, ANNA E., 91, Nicktown, passed away May 24, 2024, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.  Born April 7, 1933, in Hastings, the daughter of the late Daniel and Florence (Buck) McGlynn.  Preceded in death by beloved husband, Thomas Freidhof.  She married Tom on September 26, 1953, in Hastings and shared fifty years, side by side, on the farm that they cherished before his passing on September 4, 2003. Also preceded in death by grandson, Andrew “Andy” Kirsch; daughter-in-law, Irene Freidhof; siblings, Mary Carpinello, Jim McGlynn, Catherine Spacht; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.  Survived by children, Ann (Ross) Fleming, Nicktown; Kenneth Freidhof, Northern Cambria; Thomas “Ed” (Sue) Freidhof, Nicktown; Theresa “Tess” (Bernie) Strittmatter, Ebensburg; Mary “Beth” (Don) Hadden, Nicktown; Patrick Freidhof, Alverda; Janice (Russ) Kirsch, Northern Cambria; also 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.  Sister of Daniel McGlynn, Hastings; and Margaret “Peggy” Maines, Sheffield.  Also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.  She will be deeply missed by all.  Anna was a creative person by nature and an accomplished seamstress.  She was well known in the area for her talents, making and altering clothing well into her 80’s.  She also created hand-made gifts and cards that will be cherished by family and friends. Anna dearly loved spending time with family and many extended family members and friends.  Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Nicholas Church.  Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD officiating.  Committal, church cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
