DeSalvo, Arlene M., 67, Northern Cambria, passed away October 5, 2024, at Miners Hospital in Hastings. Born November 9, 1956, in Spangler, daughter of the late Edward Williams and Kathryn “Kathy” (Formeck) Williams, of Northern Cambria. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, James J. DeSalvo and her beloved dog, Bubby. She is survived by her mother; daughter, Cara DeSalvo, Jefferson Hills, PA; and brother, Edward Williams, Northern Cambria along with many devoted family members and friends. Arlene was a caring person by nature and dedicated over 40 years to a career in nursing. After starting in Altoona, Arlene did most of her service at Miners Hospital in the ER and later in administration, taught nursing for a time, and after retirement worked for the medical practice of Dr. Brian Lieb. Arlene was very involved in her community, serving on many local boards and committees. She especially loved spreading Christmas cheer with her husband. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, and on Thursday, October 10, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings beginning at 10 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB celebrant. Committal, St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Miners Medical Center.
