Armelda A. (Illig) Gamrat

GAMRAT, ARMELDA A. (Illig), 82, Ebensburg, went to be with her Saviour Jesus Christ while surrounded by family January 14, 2024.  Born March 5, 1941, in Spangler, the daughter of Aelred and Margaret (Smith) Illig.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Raymond Gamrat; infant sister, Martha; and brothers, Patrick, Robert, and Joseph.  Survived by daughters, Louann (John) Glinski, Huntsburg, OH; Rhonda Miller, Beachwood, OH; grandchildren, Ashley Kono, Justin (Breanna) Glinski, Andrew Glinski, Ryan Glinski; and great-grandson, Joseph Glinski. Sister of Judy (Ken) Bearer, Nicktown.  Armelda spent years working at the Department on Aging until joining the Foster Grandparent Program.  She enjoyed making a difference in the lives of the residents at the Ebensburg Center.  She loved her cats and spending time at Wendy’s Restaurant.  Family and friends will be received at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m., Pastor Justin Glinski, officiating.  Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Nicktown.
