Barry E. Young

YOUNG, BARRY E., 81, Westover, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025.  Born January 2, 1944, in La Jose, the son of Charles and Esther (Hindmarsh) Young.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Roger Young and brother, Daniel.  Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Nancy (Gowin) Young; daughter, Glenda (Jack) Burba; grandchildren, Roger Jr. (Alexa) Young, Cameron (Elizabeth) Burba, Courtney (Paul) Cote, Garrett (Makenzie) Burba, Nathan (Bryanna) Young, Austin (Tori )Young, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Wasicki; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Jace, Rylan, Walker, Ellory, Amelia, Isaac, Callan, Hallie, Lydia, Kamdyn, Jaxon, Bowan, Sammy, and Odin.  Brother of Charles “Chuck” (Vicky)Young, IL.  Barry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He built his life around the people he loved most.  Nothing brought him more pride and joy than his wife, his children, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  His family was truly the center of his world.  In his earlier years, he could be found outdoors doing what he loved, hunting on his farm or casting a line into his favorite fishing spot.  Barry was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, whether it was the Steelers, Penguins or the Pirates, he faithfully cheered on the black and gold.  Member of East Ridge Harmony Methodist Church and Coalport Masonic Lodge 574.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria.  A visitation will begin on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at East Ridge Harmony Methodist church from 9:45 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m.   Pastor Barby Trent officiating.
