Clayton Croyle Obituary

CROYLE, CLAYTON W. “Clay”, 68, Flinton, formerly of Summerhill, passed away December 18, 2024, at home.  Born August 16, 1956, in Johnstown, the son of Roy “Dean” and Margaret (Baker) Croyle.  Preceded in death by father.  Survived by his mother, Margaret, of Flinton; brothers, Daniel (Jeannie) Croyle, South Carolina; Jim (Glenda) Croyle, Ebensburg; sister, Melodie (Steve) Sikora, Flinton; and daughter, Faelyn (Robyn) McClay, Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews.  Clay worked previously for Summerhill Borough and the Redwood Restaurant.   For years, he enjoyed the company of his many friends playing on the pool and dart teams at the South Fork Social Club and Portage Italian Club.  He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and the peacefulness of being in nature.  He had a kind and gentle heart and willingness to help anyone he could—and it was his New Year’s Eve tradition to celebrate with friends but be the “self-appointed” designated driver to make sure everyone stayed safe.  He lived his life in a quiet manner and never complained, he will be deeply missed by family and friends.  Honoring his wishes there will be no public visitation or services.  Interment will be in Pringle Hill Cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
