Cody James Gerlesky

GERLESKY, CODY J, 25, Elmora, passed away December 30, 2021, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  Born February 24, 1996, in Altoona, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Marsha (Sponsky) Gerlesky.  Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Frank Gerlesky and an uncle, Francis Sclesky.  Survived by parents, of Elmora; brother, Kyle and sister, Kady Gerlesky, both at home; and Brett Legrand, his cousin he considered his brother; paternal grandmother, Syvilla Gerlesky; and maternal grandparents, William and Mary Sponsky.  Also survived by these aunts and uncles: Lisa Sponsky (Troy Laney), Tina Sponsky (Benny McCrystal), Christine (Kevin) Kelleher, Tom (Rose) Gerlesky, Tammy Sclesky, Tim Gerlesky and numerous cousins.   Employed as a bus driver for Tri County Transportation.  Member of Bakerton Athletic Club, Bakerton Rod & Gun, Carrolltown Fireman’s Club, Spangler Sons of the American Legion, social member of Spangler VFW and American Legion.  Friends received from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.
