Constance L. Augustine

Augustine, Constance, 80,  Nicktown, passed away November 29, 2022, at Haida Manor, Hastings, following a short battle with cancer.  Born August 1, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (Nealen) Augustine.  Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Jeanne Augustine and Anita Rajnish; brothers, Thomas, Dennis, David, Kevin and Joel Augustine; nephews, Francis Lajevic-Augustine and David Rajnish.  Survived by sisters, Joette (Robert) Watson, Diane Augustine; brother, Mark (Denise) Augustine; sisters-in-law, Lillie Lajevic-Augustine, Diane and Patricia Augustine, Connie Kepler Augustine and many nieces and nephews.  Connie spent her entire career working at Miners Hospital as a nurse - assisting with the birth of many babies; and later working as a ward clerk.  Connie felt each birth was a miracle and throughout her life, people would stop and show her pictures of the many children she helped deliver, and to thank her for the kindness and compassion she offered.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching and feeding her birds from her back porch.  A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a future date.
