BILLS, CYNTHIA L., 78, Saint Benedict, passed away May 19, 2026, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born October 1, 1947, in California, the daughter of Richard and Eileen (Owens) Bills. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Randy and Terry Bills; sister-in-law, Millie Bills; and nephew, Stephen Bills. Survived by siblings, Rick (Kathy) Bills, St. Benedict; Greg (Judy) Bills, Ohio; Marilisa (Jim) Painter, St. Benedict; Ryan (Holly) Bills, Pittsburgh; and Chris (Michelle) Bills, Carrolltown; sister-in-law, Suzanne Bills, Carrolltown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy was a retired teacher with the Cambria Heights School District, where she dedicated 37 years to educating and inspiring her students. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, where she taught CCD for 30 years, served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister, and generously volunteered for church festivals. She was also active with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Altar Rosary Society. Cindy gave generously of her time and talents throughout the community. She was involved with the Patton Music Club, volunteered at the Carrolltown Firemen’s Festival, and served as the leader of Story Hour at the Carrolltown Public Library, sharing her love of reading with generations of children. She was also a member of the Cambria County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. Her life reflected a deep commitment to faith, education, service, and community. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, Celebrant. Interment, St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia’s memory to Carrolltown Library, 140 E. Carroll Street, Carrolltown, PA 15722.
