Daniel R. (Sr.) Baxley

BAXLEY, DANIEL R SR., 40, Northern Cambria, passed away November 25, 2023.  Born April 8, 1983, in Johnstown, the son of James and Bonnie Baxley, Strongstown and the late Valerie “Val” (Meray) Gaston. Preceded in death by mother; maternal grandmother, Ruth E. (Stein) Meray; and paternal grandparents, Junior O’Neal and Elsie (Keith) Baxley. Survived by children, Makenzi Baxley (Brennan), Daniel Baxley Jr, both of Emeigh; Christian Baxley (Vayda), Clymer; Dana Baxley, Moss Creek; and granddaughter, Braelynn Gobrecht. Also survived by maternal grandfather, Robert Meray, Northern Cambria.  Brother of Matthew (Steph) Baxley, Gallitzin; Mitchell (Noel) Baxley, Hastings; Shannon Baxley (Jake), Lucernemines; Tyler Gaston and Nantai Gaston (Kaeleigh), all of Northern Cambria; family friends, Joseph and Diana Feltes, Monaca; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Employed as a driver for M & K Transport and Contracting Inc.  Daniel liked being in the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.  The family wishes to extend a special thanks to 365 Hospice.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Pastor Greg McDonald officiating.
