With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend—Daniel Landon Strong on April 2, 2026. Born November 23, 1985, to Kenneth and Susan (Rouse) Strong of Carrolltown, PA. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Kenneth H. and Elizabeth Strong and maternal grandparents Ralph and Margaret Rouse. He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Susan Strong; these siblings and their spouses, Marjean (Mark) Stevens; Kenneth (Christy) Strong, Melissa Strong (Joe Caligiuri), Kim (Brad) Evans, and Kelly (Dan) Stewart; nephews, Jake and Ben Strong, Mark Ralph Stevens, Anthony, Francis, and Jude Evans, and Kirby and Rita Stewart. Daniel was a 2004 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for Four years, including three and a half years stationed in Sasebo, Japan. His service reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment. He was a member of Carrolltown American Legion Post 506. Following his military service, Daniel pursued his passion for engineering. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Penn State University and later obtained his master’s degree in engineering from Old Dominion University, building a career grounded in dedication and hard work. Above all, he loved his family. He was, in every sense, a mama’s boy. His bond with his mother was unbreakable, filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion. As a son and brother, he was attentive and kind; as an uncle, he was simply the best. His love and loyalty extended to a close circle of friends, with whom he shared countless memories and laughter. He will be missed beyond words and remembered forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest easy. You were deeply loved and you will never be forgotten. Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria and on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the St. Benedict Church Boniface Wimmer Room beginning at 9:00 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, celebrant. Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery. Military honors by local veteran organizations.
