CAMPBELL, DAVID I., 79, Northern Cambria, passed away June 10, 2021. Born June 12, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Irvin and Mary Catherine (Warfel) Campbell. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, David Allen Campbell; and sisters, Janet Heimbuch and Nancy Smith. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Angela (Zernick) Campbell; daughter, Lisa, wife of Carl Peterson, Denver, CO; son, David Campbell, husband of Rebecca (Wachsman), South Prince George, VA, and grandchildren, Conner (Trisha) Peterson, Boise, ID; Lt. Nicole Peterson, Norfolk, VA; and Derek Nelson Campbell, South Prince George, VA. Brother of Sam (Frances) Campbell, Hopewell, VA. US Air Force Veteran serving with Computer Tech Air Traffic Control Tower and member of American Legion Post 508. Retired Foreman for Bethlehem Steel and member of United Steel Workers Union. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. An avid golfer and former member of Cambrian Hills Golf Club and Tri-County Golfers Association, Inc. Dave’s priority was always his family first and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and loved to dance. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, being outdoors and working in the yard. Friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Church. Fr. Ron Osinski officiating. Military honors by local veteran’s organizations.
