David Fisanick

FISANICK, DAVID, 63, St. Benedict, passed away October 12, 2021.  Born March 1, 1958, in Spangler, the son of Peter and Evelyn (Nalisnick) Fisanick.  Preceded in death by parents; brother, Francis Fisanick; and brother-in-law, Robert Eakins.  Survived by wife, Jill (Gobert) Fisanick, St. Benedict; son, Sean David Fisanick, at home; sister, Anna Marie (Eakins), North Carolina; brother, Edward (Anne Marie Rubus) Fisanick, Patton; and sister-in-law, Lorraine (Wojno) Fisanick, Hastings.   Also survived by mother-n-law, Linda (Legros) Bonfanti, St. Benedict and father-in-law, Dave Gobert, husband of Jan (Gregory), Patton.  Retired Director of Social Services for Valley View Nursing Home, Blair County.  Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.  Dave was a devoted husband and father.  He enjoyed watching his son play baseball, earn his black belt in karate, and going on family vacations.  In his free time he enjoyed golfing and watching the golf channel.  He served as a trustee at Cambrian Hills Golf Club.  Friends are received from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Friday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  A viewing will be held Saturday at the church, St. Boniface Wimmer Room beginning at 9:00 a.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to St. Benedict Catholic School.
