HUDAK, DAVID M., 85, Northern Cambria, passed away May 1, 2026, at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings. Born January 14, 1941, in Spangler, son of John and Helen (Wengzen) Hudak. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Donald Hudak and Monica Malloy. Survived by children, Jennifer Hudak-Mohr, Bellevue, WA; Kevin Hudak, Phoenix, AZ; and Karen Hudak, Chandler, AZ; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Springer. David was self-employed as a graphic artist, using his creativity and skill to design logos, illustrations, and custom projects. He took pride in working independently and delivering quality work to his clients. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed nature photography and time spent at his hunting camp, where he shared a deep respect for the outdoors, true friendship, and an enduring spirit of adventure with those around him. A devoted Catholic, he valued faith, discipline, and doing things the right way, even when it wasn’t easy. He was also a mentor to many and maintained strong, lasting friendships throughout his life. He was a man of integrity with a commanding yet grounding presence and a quiet, protective nature. He left a lasting impression on those who knew him best. His family remembers him with respect and love. Honoring David’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, is handling arrangements.
