David F. Kubat

Kubat, David F., 67, Ebensburg, passed away January 28, 2025.  Born February 21, 1957, in Colver, the son of John and Helen (Sockell) Kubat.  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Richard, Ronald and Albert Kubat; sister, Frances Hoffman; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kuzminsky;daughters, Shannon Conrad and Miranda Conrad Borlie; and granddaughter, Emma Conrad.  Survived by loving wife of 27 years, Leona (Lamer) Conrad Kubat; daughter, Karly (Frank) Lombardo, Portage; grandchildren, Allison Chordas, Morganne Conrad, Dylan Borlie, Alexis Borlie, David Conrad, Levi Lombardo, Caleb Lombardo, Mason Lombardo; and great-grandchildren, Everly Daughenbaugh and Grayson Pearce.   Brother of Stanley (Evonne) Kubat, Colver; Michael (Linda) Kubat, Paoli, PA; Robert (Ann Marie) Kubat, State College; and sister-in-law, Virginia (Clourser) Kubat, Hammonton, NJ.  David worked 20 years as a coalminer.  He was also a skilled gunsmith and part owner of Brother’s Sport Shop; and did CAT5 wiring for Mason Company. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the woods and gunsmithing.  He loved his family and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m.  Pastor Kevin Stock officiating.  Committal, McDowell Cemetery.
