David J. Wyland

WYLAND, DAVID J., 74, Carrolltown, passed away April 23, 2024, at home.  Born January 3, 1950, in Spangler, the son of Harold and Louise (Hite) Wyland.   Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Harold “Gov” and Richard “Dick” Wyland, and sister, Shirley Sharp.  Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Barbara M. (Lansberry) Wyland; daughter, April M., wife of Kurt Fisher, Hastings; son, Jeremy D. Wyland, husband of Christina (Walden), York Haven, PA; and grandchildren, Ashley, Autumn, Harrison, and Westley.  Brother of Fred Wyland, Chest Springs; Michael “Mick” Wyland, Lilly; Audrey Sharp, Loretto; Dian Tarquino, Carlisle; Judy Peles, Commodore; Gail Smith, Ebensburg; and Linda Poole, Chest Springs.  Dave was a retired mechanic and truck driver, who had a passion for old cars.  He loved the outdoors, hunting and target shooting.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed family time with his children and grandchildren.  He will be deeply missed.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2024, and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
