CARRUBA, DELORA MARY, 95, Ellicott City, Maryland, died March 11, 2025, at Regency Park Assisted Living in Gambrills, MD. Born March 9, 1930, in Hastings, the daughter of the late Merle and Florence (Nelson) Yeager. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Carruba, who died in 2011; sister, Gladys Pavlock and brothers, Thomas and Russell Yeager. Survived by daughter, Joanne Carruba, wife of Scott Raudabaugh, Ellicott City, MD; her grandson, Joseph Raudabaugh, who was the “shining light” in her life and source of great joy. She is also survived by her brother, Merle Yeager, of Philipsburg, PA and many cherished nephews, nieces, and cousins. After her high school graduation, Delora continued her education and completed a business program at Altoona School of Commerce. She then worked as a bookkeeper for several years before marrying and starting a family. Delora was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was happy making a comfortable home and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Bernard Cemetery, with Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, officiating. Committal will be alongside her husband in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Delora’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org in her memory.
