Dolores L. (Penksa) Hrubochak

HRUBOCHAK, DOLORES L.,63, passed away April 5, 2026, at home. Born November 28, 1962, in Spangler, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores (Chernisky) Penksa. Survived by loving husband of 41 years, John J. Hrubochak; son, John Michael Hrubochak, Northern Cambria; daughter, Christina Hrubochak, Ebensburg.  Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marianne and Dave Mehall, Northern Cambria; Joanne and Jay Mortenson, St. Petersburg, FL; and James and Nora Hrubochak, Hastings; nieces, Keri Ann (Denny) Marshall, and their children, Landon and Lydia, Cherry Tree; and Olivia Hrubochak, Hastings; nephews, David J. (Amy) Mehall, and their son Miles, Pittsburgh; Justin Mortenson, St. Petersburg; and Jeremy (Stephanie) Mortenson, Ellenton, FL; and numerous cousins including Paul, who texted Dolores each morning to see how she was.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where she had worked as a housekeeper for many years.  She enjoyed attending Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler games.  Trips to Gettysburg and historical sites were among her favorite adventures, along with trips to Disney World with family, especially her daughter Christina.  At home she loved to decorate for holidays, especially Christmas which was her favorite.  She was most proud of her family and always enjoyed going out to eat with John, John Michael and Christina.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, at Prince of Peace Church, Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery.
