LOWMASTER, DONALD C., 79, Northern Cambria, passed away December 14, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, four days after his loving wife, Nancy. Donald was born October 11, 1942, in Cambria County, the son of Darl and Elizabeth (Bolvin) Lowmaster; raised by Jane Hastings. Preceded in death by parents and Jane Hastings; loving wife and best friend, Nancy (Kaczkowsky) Lowmaster; brothers Richard and Darl Joseph Lowmaster; sister-in-law, Judy Lingenfelter; brother-in-law, Donald Neal. Survived by children, Jeffrey (Helene) Lowmaster, Williamsport; Tracy (James “Randy”) Sabella, Stanwood, WA; Adam (Sook) Lowmaster, Japan; Stephanie (Joseph) Arotin, Ebensburg; Matthew (Heather) Lowmaster, Cheney, WA; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brother of Bernard (Vicki) Lowmaster, John (Mary) Lowmaster, William (Arlene) Lowmaster, Betty Lowmaster, Kay Neal, Edie Lowmaster, Patty (Bob) Duffry and sister-in-law Joan Lowmaster. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. US Navy Veteran followed by a 30-year mining career with Greenwich Collieries beginning as a miner and rising to the position of superintendent. Member of Kinport Assembly of God Church. Serving as the President of the Good Samaritan Food Pantry he helped many in need throughout the community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Don will also be sadly missed by his devoted pets, Sassy, Bella, and Callie, who brought him much joy. Family and friends will be received 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 17 at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria; and beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Kinport Assembly of God Church, where funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Thomas Manning officiating. Military honor by local veteran’s organization. Interment, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
