WILLIAMSON, DONNA F., 87, Nicktown, passed away June 5, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born December 8, 1937, in Hastings, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Bott) Thiec. Preceded in death by parents, and husband, Donald Williamson. Survived by daughters, Sandra (Tim) Brown, Nicktown; Mary Anne (Mark) Dolan, Springfield, VA; Dawna (Milan) Peich, Springfield, VA; and Rebecca (Philip) Adams, New Holland; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sister of Robert (Alice) Thiec, Patton; Nancy Null, St. Petersburg, FL; Rosalie Null, St. Petersburg, FL; and Randy (Maureen) Thiec. Member of United Methodist Church. Donna worked as a seamstress at the Van Heusen Shirt Factory in Patton and later at the Nanty Glo Shirt Factory. She also generously gave her time to the Nanty Glo Jayettes, an organization in which all four of her daughters proudly participated. Most of her life was devoted to being a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She met her husband, Donald, in 1960, and not long after, the two eloped to be married in a small ceremony in Winchester, Virginia. They went on to share more than 55 wonderful years together. During those years, the family enjoyed long car rides filled with sing-alongs, week-long camping trips to Prince Gallitzin State Park, and frequent visits to Leighty’s Flea Market. Donna never passed up a yard sale or an ice cream stand, and she was rarely seen without a romance novel in hand. She passed on her love of reading to several of her children and grandchildren, and she proudly shared her crocheting skills with all of her daughters and granddaughters. Though she lived her entire life in Cambria County, Donna loved to travel when presented with the opportunity. Including a trip to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and a cross-country train ride to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. Donna was always quick to smother her loved ones in a hug and would demand a kiss before every parting. Her comforting presence and her laugh will be sorely missed by every member of the family. Honoring Donna’s request, there will be no viewing or services. The Williamson Family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria handling all arrangements.
