Doris Jane Hewitt

HEWITT, DORIS JANE, 81, Ebensburg, passed away December 8, 2023.  Born February 4, 1942, In Clearfield, the daughter of George and Catherine (McDermott) Lindenmuth.  Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Thomas Skirsky; second husband, Kenneth Hewitt; sister, Jean Roman; and brothers, Charles, Paul and Ted Lindenmuth.  Survived by children, Lois (David) Lehmier, Fredericksburg, VA; Janice (Kevin) Anderson, Carrolltown; Linda Skirsky & Paul, Ebensburg; Thomas (Melissa) Skirsky, Spotsylvania, VA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sister, Kay Lane, Northern Cambria.  Formerly employed by Cambria County Penn State Extension.  Her family was most important to her, and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed shopping trips and going out to eat.  Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4  &  6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Interment, Goodridge Cemetery.
