Edward A. Farrell

FARRELL, EDWARD A., 82, Northern Cambria, passed away January 10, 2025.  Born March 21, 1942, in Spangler, the son of William and Florence (Bearer) Farrell.  Preceded in death by parents and loving wife, Rose M. (Bonanno) Farrell, who died September 8, 2001.  Survived by daughters, Sharon Farrell (Tony DePetro), Northern Cambria; Brenda, wife of Martin “Marty” Sholtis, Greensburg; and son, Daniel “Dan-O” Farrell, husband of Debra (Kerr), Northern Cambria; and grandchildren, Marty and Lauren Sholtis; Adrianna, Brooke, and Daniel Farrell.  US Army Veteran and member of Carrolltown American Legion Post 506.  Retired from Barnes & Tucker Mines.  Also worked many years as a custodian at Holy Cross Church.  Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Ed enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.  He liked to attend local basket raffles and take trips to area casinos.  He was proud of his family and happiest spending time with his children and attending the activities and sports of his grandchildren.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where military honors will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15.  Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, Holy Cross Cemetery.
