Edward C. Mitchell

MITCHELL, EDWARD C., 73, Watkins, passed away November 17, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.  Born October 7, 1949, in Spangler, the son of William and Grace (Donato) Mitchell.  Preceded in death by parents, loving wife of 40 years Mary Ann (Leone) Mitchell who died November 15, 2021, brother, William Mitchell, sister, Donna DePetro, twin grandnephews, Nathan, and Kyle Mock; brothers-in-law, Roy Mock and Robert DePetro.  Ed and Mary Ann opened their home to raise, Damian (Lisa) Mock, Cresson; Darren (Marsha) Mitchell, Emeigh; and Dawn (Carrie) White, Virginia Beach, all of whom they consider their own children; he was a loving uncle to Darren Mock, Darren Mitchell Jr., Joshua, Zachary, Mikayla, Zane, Zoey, Shawn, Brooke, Jesse, and great-uncle to several more.  Also survived by Joseph Leone, TX; Barry Leone, MI; Peg Mock, Cresson; Judy (Wayne) Durbin, Bakerton; Carol Leone, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of Bakerton Athletic Club, Bakerton Rod and Gun Club, Social member of St. Benedict VFW, and Spangler American Legion.  Friends will be received from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Dawn White, 2112 Kimball Circle, Virginia Beach VA 23455.
