Eleanor A. (Murphy) Bobik

BOBIK, ELEANOR A., 88,  Northern Cambria, passed away April 29, 2024.  Born February 28, 1936, in Patton, the daughter of John and Lavina (Smith) Murphy.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, William T. Bobik, who died February 8, 1999; daughter-in-law, Joanne (Novella) Bobik; twin brother, Franklin Murphy; and siblings, Gladys Lecounte, Harry Murphy, Juanita Yahner, Howard Murphy, George Murphy, and Florine Swope.  Survived by son, Dennis Bobik, Northern Cambria; daughter, Nancy, wife of Mark Knarr, Clarion; grandchildren, Dianne, Jeffery, Juliana, Brian and Michael; and great-grandchildren, William, Miles, and Hazel.  Eleanor worked many years in the local garment industry, having worked for both Patton and Barnesboro Shirt Factories and later at Carol Ann Fashions in Hastings for 34 years. Before retiring she worked an additional 10 years for NORCAM.  Family and friends will be received at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Fr. Mark Groeger officiating.  Committal, St. John Byzantine Cemetery.
