KERR, ELIZABETH ANN (Watters) “Betty Ann”, 88, Northern Cambria, passed away December 4, 2024, at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana. Born July 26, 1936, in Pittsburgh, she was the last surviving member of the Paul J. and Elizabeth (Costello) Watters. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 52 years, Harry W. Kerr Jr., who died in 2010; sister, Patricia (Watters) Hammarstrom; and daughter-in-law, Gaelynn (Wiewiora) Kerr. Survived by children; Paul Kerr (Anne Burke), San Francisco, CA; James Kerr, Northern Cambria, PA; Robert Kerr, Nicktown, PA; Kevin (Jill Levendusky) Kerr, Indiana, PA; and Patricia (Sean) Doherty, Hampton, NH. Also grandchildren, Ian and Emma Kerr; James Jr., Elizabeth, John, and Justin Kerr; Robert Jr. and Nicholas Kerr; Kevin Jr. and Alexandra Kerr; Margaret “Maggie” Ives and Abigail Doherty; and ten great-grandchildren. Betty Ann grew up in Barnesboro and attended Barnesboro High School through her Junior year. Her family then relocated to Florida where she graduated from Coral Gables High School. She returned to Pennsylvania and was a 1958 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She was the owner/operator of Watters Brothers Drug Store in Northern Cambria for many years and a member of the former St. Edwards, and now Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was an active part of the local business community and has served as a board member for various organizations including- Norcam, Coal Country Day Care, Barnesboro Business District Authority, and the Barnesboro Public Library. Former member of Medical Reserve Corps and Disaster Life Support. She was an avid reader and faithful supporter of the public library system. Betty Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the world to more countries and islands than can be mentioned. Her sense of adventure was contagious and her desire to live life to the fullest will continue to influence all who loved her. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Fr. Mark Groeger officiating. Following the services, the family will continue to greet friends at the funeral home until 11:00 a.m. Interment, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
