Elizabeth L. (Orichosky) Kurtz

KURTZ, ELIZABETH L., 91, Hastings, passed away May 17, 2026.  Born September 19, 1934, in Coalport, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Polinsky) Orichosky.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, John C. Kurtz, who died in 1995; son, Michael Kurtz; and brothers, John and Henry Orichosky.  Survived by children, Susan (William) Hockenberry, Hastings; Deborah (Michael) Baker, Virginia Beach, VA; Gregory Kurtz (Karen Litzinger), Hastings; and Rosemary (Stephen) Warner, Ebensburg.  Also 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.  Elizabeth worked more than 20 years as a seamstress at Barnesboro Shirt Co and Coalport Shirt Factory.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all.  Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, canning, crocheting and having Sunday dinners with her family. Sharing memories and spending precious time together brought her the most joy.  Family and friends will be received from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria.  Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery, Hastings.
