Elizabeth K. Simmons

SIMMONS, ELIZABETH K., 77, Cherry Tree, passed away January 30, 2026.  Born November 6, 1948, in Westover, the daughter of Steve and Clara Jane Simmons.  Preceded in death by parents; and siblings, Ernest Wannagat Sr., Mary Jane Wannagat-Nelson, and Stephen John Simmons Jr.  Survived by William R. Dixon, Cherry Tree, her companion of more than 50 years; sister, Helen Rainey, Westover; sister-in-law, Virginia Wannagat; and many nieces and nephews, who she loved as her own children.  She worked many years as a seamstress at Patton and Curwensville factories.  There will be no visitation or services at this time.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
