WARNER, ESTHER Mary., 91, Hastings, passed away July 1, 2023, at HAIDA Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born July 25, 1931, in Barr Twp., the daughter of Edward and Esther Mary (Wolfe) Brawley. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Clement E. Warner, who died October 23, 1979; grandson, John Todd; brothers, Edward and Mark Brawley; sister, Elizabeth Engbert; brothers-in-law, Michael Veneskey, Frank Veneskey, and Lawrence Himmel; and sister-in-law, Connie Brawley. Survived by children, Marian Todd, KS; Monica Warner, Altoona; Gerianne Pleva, Altoona; Stephen (Rosemary) Warner, Ebensburg; Rosanne (James) Risbon, VA; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Mary (Richard) Long, Summerhill; Rita Veneskey, OH; Benedicta Veneskey, Carrolltown; Malachy Brawley, TN; Bernadette Himmel, Alberta (Michael) Kovall, John Brawley, and Donald Brawley, all of Carrolltown; Rose (Barry) Cook, OH; Michael (Deb) Brawley, Ebensburg; and Thomas (Paulette) Brawley, Nicktown; brother-in-law, Melvin Engbert, VA; and sister-in-law, Betty Brawley, Altoona. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings and the Third Order Secular Franciscans. Esther was a well-known community leader and volunteer who enjoyed serving others in many capacities. Volunteer at Haida Manor for 30 years, 4-H Leader for 17 years, volunteer at Patton Food Pantry and Red Cross Bloodmobiles. Member of Hastings Senior Citizens and area Red Hat Society. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, knitting, crocheting and crafts. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria; and on Thursday, July 6 at St. Bernard Church, Hastings, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, officiating. Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery.
