ZERNICK, EUGENE S. “Bud”, 75, Northern Cambria, passed away March 3, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born November 10, 1949, in Spangler, the son of John and Mary (Lubert) Zernick. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Robert, Bernard, Blair, and Edward Zernick; sister, Agnes Bolette. Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Kerry (Lonergan) Zernick; children, John (Carrie) Zernick, Beaver Falls; Renee (Andrew) Miller, St. Benedict, and Jody (Nicole) Zernick, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Zachary (Felicity) Zernick, Ally, Braden, Zane, Jakob, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn. Brother of Ann Baker, Northern Cambria; Angela Campbell, Northern Cambria; Ted Zernick, Indiana and Theresa Janosko, PA. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Northern Cambria, UMWA, formal member of Young Mens Polish Legion. Bud worked 22 years as a coalminer at Greenwich Collieries, then went on to work at Walmart as a Receiving Manager. Bud enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. He also loved playing golf and listening to Polka music. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Northern Cambria. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
