WEILAND, FRANCIS P., 75, Nicktown, passed away April 6, 2021, at home. Born April 18, 1945, in Cameron’s Bottom, the son of George and Josephine (Kline) Weiland. Preceded in death by parents; and daughter, Kimberli Weiland. Survived by loving wife of 53 years, Martha E. (Miller) Weiland; daughter, Kelli Weiland, Indiana; and granddaughter, Taylor Weiland. Brother of Shirley Hogue, Loretto; George Weiland Jr., Northern Cambria; Margie Antolik, Indiana; Leonard Weiland, Nicktown; and Vincent Weiland, Revloc. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown. Served in the Army National Guard. Retired miner and member of UMWA, formerly employed by Barnes & Tucker, Rox Coal and R&P Mining. Francis was a regular blood donor for the Red Cross. He enjoyed many years spending time raising dairy and beef cattle. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, raising his granddaughter Taylor brought him great joy. He was always happy to help and care for relatives, was admired, and appreciated by neighbors and friends. He was a “Town Favorite” in the community. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.
