CHRISTOFF, GEORGE R., 83, Northern Cambria, passed away August 28, 2023, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 10, 1940, in Allport, the son of George M. and Helen (Korman) Christoff. Preceded in death by parents; son, Steven Christoff; siblings, William Christoff, Ann Bonin, Janice Gray, infant brother Victor; and son-in-law, Jim Bauman. Survived by children, Michael Christoff (Jean), Terri Bauman, Teresa Christoff (Jerry Baker), all of Northern Cambria; Tina Yingling (Bob Sr.), Westover; and Jessica Lauver, Northern Cambria; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Brother of Marian Christoff, Patton; Dolores Zanoni, Northern Cambria; Betty Lou Huber (John), St. Boniface; Margaret Kerfoot, Hastings; Gloria Reger (Bud), Ohio; and Ken Christoff (Debbie), Northern Cambria. Member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church, Northern Cambria. George enjoyed spending time with his many friends at the Slovak Club, Northern Cambria, the Rembrandt Club, St. Benedict and as a social member of the Barnesboro and Spangler VFW and American Legion. He stayed active and enjoyed time outdoors hunting and playing golf, but his favorite hobby was fishing. Above all he was a devoted father and grandfather who was happiest surrounded by his family. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 4, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Fr. Andriy Kelt officiating. Interment, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
