George A. Day

DAY, GEORGE A. Sr., 83, Northern Cambria, passed away June 11, 2025.  Born February 9, 1942, in Haymarket, Virginia, the son of Jack and Ethel (Bumford) Day.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Steven Day; and wife, Diana Jean Day.  Survived by children, David (Karen) Day, Ebensburg; Kim (Tom) Stefanik, Richland; Lori Patrick, Northern Cambria; and George Allen Day Jr., Northern Cambria; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Brother of Grace (Dan) Walk, New Germany; and Glenn Day, Loretto.  George retired from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked in the steel mill for many years.  Member of the Spangler American Legion Post 569, Bakerton Athletic Club and Bakerton Rod and Gun Club.  Honoring George’s request there will be no viewing or services.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
