George M. Kirsch

KIRSCH, GEORGE MONTGOMERY “Monte”, 83, Sand Point, Idaho, native of Nicktown, passed away February 28, 2024, at Bonner Medical Center, Idaho.  Born August 7, 1940, in Nicktown, the son of Frederick and Martha (McCarty) Kirsch.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Barbara Sherwood and brother, Donald Kirsch.  Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Kathryn (Byrnes) Kirsch; daughters, Melissa (Kevin) Foote, Indiana, PA; Katrina Kirsch, Denver; sons, Nicholas (Eriko) Kirsch and Zacharie (Katie) Kirsch, both of Seattle; and twelve grandchildren.  Brother of Sr. Corinne Kirsch CSJ, Pittsburgh and Mary Jo (Edward) Bordenave, Lodi, CA.  A 1962 graduate of Devry Institute of Technology.  US Army Reserve Veteran.  Retired pilot for Federal Express.  Life member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD, celebrant.  Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.
