KOTRICK, GEORGE ALEX, 88, a longtime resident of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away on March 4,2023. George was born in Bakerton, Pennsylvania on September 20, 1934, the son of Alex and Mary (Konitsky) Kotrick. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 62 years, Patricia Ann (Golgosky) Kotrick who died October 26, 2021, son, George Andrew Kotrick and brothers, Frank, Wasco, and Andy Kotrick. Survived by his sons, William (Linda) Kotrick, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Robert (Kristine) Kotrick, Fort Mill, South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Amy Kotrick, Ravenna, Ohio; and grand-daughters, Sara (Kirsten) Erb, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Meagan Kotrick, Ravenna, Ohio; Erin Kotrick, Fort Mill, South Carolina; and great-grandson, Merritt George Erb, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Also survived by brothers, Alex (Louise) Kotrick, Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania and John (Kathy) Kotrick, Millersville, Pennsylvania. George was employed for many years at Viskase Companies, Inc. and the legacy company Filmco of Aurora, Ohio. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army Security Agency. He later joined the VFW Post 1055, Ravenna, Ohio, and American Legion Post 506, Carrolltown, Pennsylvania, where he continued to serve his country as Chaplain of the Honor Guard. Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Moriconi Funeral Home, 1303 Bigler Avenue, Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania 15714, where a military service will be held at 11:30 a.m. by local Military honors organization. Rev. Fr. Andriy Kelt presiding. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bakerton, Pennsylvania.
