WEILAND, GEORGE A. JR., 88, Northern Cambria, passed away May 19, 2025. Born February 14, 1937, in Camerons Bottom, the son of George and Josephine (Kline) Weiland. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Tillie Ann (Pysz) Weiland, who died August 23, 2021; brothers, Leonard and Francis Weiland; brother-in-law, Leonard Hogue and sister-in-law, Cindy Weiland. Survived by children, Michalene (Mike) Finui, Northern Cambria; Kevin (Lynne) Weiland, Northern Cambria; Bryan (Christine) Weiland, Ebensburg; Georgette Weiland, Northern Cambria; and grandchildren, Paige (Nathan) Holtz, Jared, Miranda and Cole Weiland. Also survived by sisters, Shirley Hogue, Loretto and Marge (Andy) Antolik, Indiana; brother, Vincent Weiland, Revloc; and sisters-in-law, Martha Weiland and Maureen Weiland, both of Nicktown; and Betty (Kevin) Weakland, Hastings. George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. As a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper, George worked more than 30 years assigned to the Punxsutawney Barracks. Never one to be idle, George worked in retirement for Parsons Corporation as an auditor and inspector. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Prince of Peace Church. Very Reverend Matthew Baum, celebrant. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
