Gerald "Jerry" R. Zedek Sr.

ZEDEK, GERALD R. SR., 76, Northern Cambria, passed away November 3, 2021.  Born November 9, 1944, in Spangler, son of Metro and Catherine (Bearer) Zedek.  Preceded in death by parents and brother, Charles Zedek.  Survived by loving wife, Debra (Montanaro) Zedek; children, Gerald (Kelly) Zedek Jr., Seven Valleys, PA; Tammy (Jeffrey) Kettel, Scranton; stepchildren, Lynn (Dominic) Fredo, Hastings; David (April) Farrell, Northumberland, PA; and grandchildren, Jared, Rylee, Carmella, Avree, Mason, Anna and Jeffrey.   Also survived by brother, Donald Zedek, Mesa, AZ; and sisters, Anna Mae Litvin, Vinco and Theresa Bauer, Northern Cambria.  US Army Veteran.  Formerly employed as a coalminer for 18 years, and a life-long automotive mechanic.  Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.  He was passionate about the sport of Drag Racing, as a competitive racer as well as building and re-building the vehicles.  He was proud to share this life-long pastime with his son and his many friends in their racing family.  Honoring Jerry’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc.
