PELES, HARRY, 88, Spangler, passed away May 3, 2024, at Miners Hospital, Hastings. Born October 2, 1935, in Hastings, the son of Harry and Helen (Malisa) Peles. Preceded in death by parents; son, Harry R. Peles; and sister, Irene Weakland. Survived by loving wife of 70 ½ years, Lois (Bradford) Peles; daughters, Charlene, wife of Pete Barczak and Cheryl, wife of Mick Lutch, both of Northern Cambria; daughter-in-law, Theresa (Hoover) Peles, Hastings; grandchildren, Matthew (Becky) Barczak, Michelle (Mike) Dolges, Katy (Ryan) Litzinger, Dana Peles, Ryan Peles; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Landon, Alayna, and Madelyn. Also survived by sister, Jennifer Free, Granbury, TX. Harry retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. after working many years as a welder, a job he truly loved. He had a passion for collecting antique and classic cars and was well known in the area for his outstanding restoration, autobody and custom painting work. Although he had many interests and talents, his life was centered around his strong faith in God and the importance of family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who led his family by example. A member of Emeigh Methodist Church, he never missed attending services even in his advancing years. He was an inspiration to those who knew him. Family and friends will be received Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Emeigh Methodist Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Committal, Union Cemetery, Hastings.
