HASSEN, ISAAC DAVID SR., 69, Northern Cambria, passed away April 15, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 2, 1953, in Spangler, the son of the late Mike and Betty (Wagner) Hassen. Survived by loving wife of 24 years, Melissa “Missy” (Eagler) Hassen; children, Isaac David “Davey” Hassen Jr., Gregory Hassen Sr., Sarah Hassen, Joshua Hassen, all of Northern Cambria; grandchildren, Gregory Jr., Rylee and Avery. Brother of Mike (Judy) Hassen and John (Nancy) Hassen, both of Northern Cambria; and Deborah Hassen, Ebensburg. Also survived by his Best Friend, Fred Nastasi, godchildren, Tanner Sunderlin and Amber Sharkey, and many nieces and nephews. Dave was a retired police officer for Northern Cambria Borough. He also worked as a part-time officer in the boroughs of Carrolltown, Hastings, Patton, and Northern Cambria. Member of Hope Fire Company since 1969, where he has been serving the community as Fire Chief since 2005. Member of Fraternal Order of Police, Hemlock Lodge #101; Cambria County Drug Task Force, Cambria County & Vicinity Fireman’s Assoc., Western PA Fireman’s Assoc., Central District Fireman’s Assoc., and State of PA Fireman’s Assoc. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, with Fireman Service at 7:00 p.m. Also from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Contres-Greer Hall Social Hall, 1700 Kennedy Avenue, Northern Cambria.
