BIRMINGHAM, JAMES E., 87, Cherry Tree, passed away January 14, 2024. Born December 16, 1936, in Philadelphia, the son of Bernard and Edna (Thill) Birmingham. Preceded in death by parents; son, Matthew Birmingham; and siblings, Noreen and Robert Birmingham. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Sandra (Smith) Birmingham; sons, James E. Birmingham, husband of Karen (McDougal), Doylestown; John P. Birmingham, husband of Geraldine (McIlhenny), Philadelphia; Keith Birmingham, husband of Megan (Racik), Feasterville; and grandchildren, Evan, Ashlyn, Nathaniel, Madison, Caitlyn, and Kyle. Also survived by a sister, Jacqueline Nigro, Philadelphia. US Navy Veteran and member of Barnesboro American Legion Post 508. Member of the Slovak Club, Northern Cambria. He worked many years as a printing supervisor for a manufacturing firm. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator. Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing with his sons. He was a sociable person and had many friends he liked to meet up with at area clubs. Above all, he was devoted to his wife and sons and made them his priority. Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc.
