James Stevens Obituary

STEVENS, JAMES V., 73, Johnstown, native of Patton, passed away May 2, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born June 29, 1950, in Spangler, son of James and Bernadine (Baker) Stevens. Preceded in death by parents; son, Jeremiah Stevens; brother, John Stevens; infant sister, Mary Stevens; and brothers-in-law, Art Lechene and Tom Kozicki.  Survived by daughter, Chelsey, wife of Ian Reyburn, Norfolk, VA; grandsons, Sebastian (Hillary) Stevens and Aiden Stevens; and great-grandsons, Arlo and Canan Stevens.  Also survived by siblings, JoAnn (Tom) Taylor, Elmora; Charlotte Lechene, Carrolltown; Shirley Kozicki, Youngstown; Robert (Nancy) Stevens, Patton; Patrick (Jodi) Stevens, Carrolltown; Mona George, Cresson; and Donna Zohts, Portage.  US Army Veteran and former Commander of VFW Post 9397, Hampden, Massachusetts.  Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, officiating.  Military honors by local veterans’ organizations.  Interment, St. Benedict Cemetery.
