TUTSOCK, JAMES E., 74, St. Benedict formerly of Portage, passed away June 19, 2021, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born January 5, 1947, in Johnstown, the son of the late Michael and Mary (Bertak) Tutsock. Preceded in death by brothers, John, Tommy, Robert, Michael, Andrew; sisters, Agnes Eckenrode and Mary Novak. Survived by loving wife of 34 years, Darlene; sisters, Irene Higbee, NJ; Ann Cochran, FL; Evie Wanamaker, VA; Tillie Pallone and Dorothy Irvin, Portage, PA and his furry friend Quincy his Shi-tzu. Jim served his country doing Vietnam, he was on a Navy destroyer. From there he became a police officer in Washington, D.C. and then served as a secret service agent when President Ford was in office. Jim then retired in 2010 from Federal Express after working there for 25 years, then continued serving the community by delivering meals on wheels for Cambria County and did so until he got sick. Jim enjoyed sports, he could tell you anything about the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Lakers. He truly enjoyed sports. Please honor Jim by wearing your favorite teams, he would love that. He also enjoyed traveling, playing machines in casinos and watching movies, especially crime shows. He will be sadly missed by the people who loved and knew him. Friends and Family will be received 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 22 at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23 at the funeral home. Reverend Marty Cartmell officiating. Military honors conducted by local veteran’s organizations. Committal at McDowell Cemetery.
