James D. Work

WORK, JAMES D., 73, Northern Cambria, passed away June 7, 2025.  Born May 29, 1952, in Spangler, the son of Harl and Hazel (Buterbaugh) Work.  Preceded in death by parents and sister, Peggy Work.  Survived by wife, Donna (Saunders) Work; children, Dustin (Jennifer) Work, Northern Cambria; Jaime (Kevin) Galinis, Hastings; Joel (Julie) Work, Northern Cambria; stepdaughters, Elsha Cole and Shannon Cole-Leak (Michael Jr.), both of North Carolina.  Also seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and his beloved shih tzu, Oreo.  US Army Reserve Veteran.  Jim worked in the coal mines 22 years and later worked for the Department of Corrections for 10 years.  Honoring his wishes there will be no visitation or services.  Interment will be in North Barnesboro Cemetery.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
