MARINO, JAMES F. JR., “Jim”, 77, Northern Cambria, passed away January 25, 2025. Born December 29, 1947, in Spangler, son of Susan “Betty” (Berzansky) and James Marino Sr. Preceded in death by parents, sister, Vicki (Mike) Kehoe and granddaughter, Violet LeDrew. Survived by high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Patricia “Pat” (Brown) Marino; five children, Suzie Marino, Indiana; Terri (Mick) McGinnis, Carrolltown; Jamie (Missy) Marino, Northern Cambria; Devany (Rob) LeDrew, Lititz; and Andy Marino, Ebensburg. He was Gramps to nine grandchildren, Bryce, Drew, Lauren, and Nick Brawley; Logan and Mark Marino; and Evelyn and Daniel LeDrew. Also survived by sisters, Maria (Dick) Sherry and Vita (Steve) Kirsch. He was as fiercely proud of his children and grandchildren as they are of him. Jim went to Penn State and was a (retired) chemical engineer, a field in which he used his skilled expertise to improve the Pennsylvania environment. He passed his love of learning and science on to his children. He always knew how to ask the right questions to get you to discover the answers. He was extremely talented at fly tying. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, coin collecting, and traveling “out west” to Yellowstone. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a selfless man who was always doing for others. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.
